Combatting external influences in the Arab World
Preserving the Arabic language and identity in the era of Westernisation.
The Arab League was founded in 1945 as a regional organisation comprising 22 Arab states in the Middle East and North Africa. Its aim is to promote economic, cultural, and political cooperation among member states, in addition to addressing common issues such as security, development, and human rights. The League works on coordinating policies in areas such as regional conflicts, economic cooperation, and strengthening Arab unity in the face of external pressures. It has contributed to facilitating several agreements, such as the Arab Common Market and efforts to resolve regional disputes. However, its influence is often limited due to political divisions among member states. Despite these challenges, the Arab League remains an important forum for diplomatic cooperation in the Arab world
