PERSPECTIVE
DMUN will provide its delegates with a chance to develop the most important trait in global politics, perspective. More than anything else, it is the lack of perspective that has ignited and fueled the vast majority of conflicts across history. DMUN will place delegates in various roles across the political spectrum and along the power structure. Representatives must learn to defend positions that they may not agree with on a personal level. That is the point of this conference. We want delegates to re-learn how to have conversations with those whom they disagree with and to converse constructively. In a world of mute buttons and blocked lists we will provide a platform to show future generations how to engage in difficult conversations , how to go through a vicious debate and how to conclude it with a hearty handshake. With the achievements of these goals, the delegates will be better for it, and quite possibly, the world will be better for it.

WE SELL PERSPECTIVE
We’ve all heard the phrase, “put yourself in someone else’s shoes” decision makers often have to do just that multiple times during the day as they have numerous factors that they need to keep in mind during their negotiations, sessions and speeches, often changing their own viewpoints depending on the topic or the audience in front of them. Difficult choices have to be made, choices that come either from within a diplomat’s unique set of convictions or from above the diplomatic structure that they have to live under and obey. Every DMUN committee is a race and every delegate has to find their pace amidst the chaos of global politics. In a world filled with wild races and multiple perspectives, we sell perspective.
